I.m 67 now and.remember the pavemaster.. I had to save up half the money and parents paid the rest...( I was good at.saving )
Dad walked.me home with it from the shop on Barking road between Greengate and Boleyn.
I took a while at riding without stabilizers but could ride dads trade.bike.around the allotments easy
I recall.a.white.saddle bag and the little.flag on the front. And dad fixing punctures.using the dinner spoons as tyre levers.
One.of the few things I had new .

Hi,
I have one of these, the original bike I learned to ride on, but it's now missing the front wheel.
I am after a replacement wheel, or perhaps a whole bike I could use to help restore my old bike.
Thanks,
Grant

I'm not an expert on these so I wouldn't be able to confirm that. By the style of the bicycle I would have thought it would be earlier than that.

I too have a Trusty Pavemaster and came across this site whilst trying to price it to put it on e bay following my Dad's house clearance.
I had a Pavemaster same as yours in the early very early 60's learned to ride without stablelizers on it, all was going great till I collided with my mates dads new Vauxhall Cresta taking a corner and smashed his headlamp and my dad had to pay for it. He always used to remind me of it and it brought a smile to my face when I went to his funeral a couple of years ago, to be honest I never really liked the bike it looked a bit girlish, I want a Raleigh the small one with the balloon tyres, looking at it now its not to bad.

Hi Larry, sounds like an early Spacemaster separable. Look for a campagnolo quick release near the steering.
Let me know if it is.
