Vince, nice piece on the London Eye. I know one of the engineers involved in its design and execution, a very clever man. He told me they had a bit of a job finding anyone to manufacture the spindle, tried all over the UK but no one wanted the job (??) and eventually it was manufactured by Skoda.

I’ve not been to London for years so haven’t had a ride on the eye, but as you say, it’s a stunning piece of work.
