I has the 4 speed dynamo hub and the indicator rod is currently disconnected. the snall nipple screw is missing from the end, I am not sure if it is inside the hub or not. I purchased the bike in this state. My plan was to see if I could source a replacement, fit it and hope the old missing piece isn't inside. If it is then its a strip down, this I am hoping to avoid. The rod I have is 3'' long and consists of two different diameters thick then thin, the thinner section is 1 3/8th''. I hop[e that this is something you can help with.

It is on a French Motoconfort town bike dating from the 1980s I think, in mint condition as has been in store from new.
